When I lived there, I had crack dealers right outside my doorstep (literally; but they did politely move on after I asked them nicely!), there were a few stabbings, and I came out one evening, with police everywhere, following a shooting! (Yards from me flat; I thought it was fireworks). Prostitution? I've lived next door to 'em!

RudeBoy - you are right. There was a documentary about him a couple of years ago - he was one very strange bloke. IIRC his son did the filming while he was one of the "actors". I couldn't think of anything worse than having to film my old man sh*gging (there again he's been dead 10 years).

Philby- yes, that's it! How ****ed up is that??? And most of the women were much younger; early 20s. Was a bit sad and disturbing, really. I've known people who've done porn; filmed it or 'acted' in films. Perfectly 'normal', respectable types, no different to anyone else. Not the particular career I'd chose, but to each their own.
