I am in a dilema, I don't know what to wear or where to go.

If I sit in the livingroom, is just underpants too informal*? If I am going to the conservatory I will probably have to put trousers on at least.

Anyone got more exciting plans than me for tonight**

*My wife controls the heating and it is currently on unbearably hot because the weather forcast said somewhere else in the world was cold.

**I have a 7:30am drive tomorrow morning and am not drinking anyway, so cannot face a night being Faux-K^ with strangers in a pub.

^ Radio 4 new word. Falsely being OK/ Faux  K

Going out for dinner. The reservation is for 7 and it's now 6.49 so mrsD had really better finish getting ready...

19 year old daughter has gone off round to friends, so we are home alone for the first time in a few years.

I'm trying to get rid of the Xmas Lurgy, so going big on the Night Nurse and hope to be in bed by 10. Will then get woken up by fireworks at midnight, and again when MrsMC comes to bed at half twelve. Then again whenever NoLongerLittleMissMC crashes in through the front door. Then again at 7 when the alarm goes off as MrsMC is volunteering at Sudbury Hall tomorrow.

However you do or do not celebrate, I wish you all a Happy and Peaceful New Year.

Despite my normal habits we're heading out at 10pm to pick up daughter from work and her friend.  We are then heading into Edinburgh to see some friends who've rented/borrowed/bought a yurt for their back garden.  Tomorrow we're back into town to go to a gig at 2pm.  I'd like to squeeze in a quick ride in the morning, start as I mean to go on and all that.  Whatever you're doing, have a good one!

The wife and I walked into town with the hound this afternoon for a single drink. We've subsequently had fish and chips for supper and now we're watching NCIS re-runs before likely having an early night.

Been out for a big ride on the new Stigmata today, absolutely knackered, don’t know if I’ll see the bells, enjoying a nice glass of red as we speak. Happy New Year to everyone

was going to go watch my mates band at a NYE do at a local club, but we're just staying in now with nibbles and prosecco.

we'll probably watch a couple of episodes of our latest stream and then turn live tv on just before midnight to see the fireworks, then pootle off to bed.

happy new year singletrackers xxx

No plans, but neighbour has just been round and delivered home-baked bread, french biscuits and coffee. Which was nice.

They have people coming round so I dug out one of the bottles of champagne that's been living in the garage for them. I'm not a champagne drinker and I get given them at work occasionally - it's gone to a good home.

Son (drinker) out at a party and staying over so that's him sorted.

Daughter (non-drinker) out at a party in North London and will be driving home later, 75 mins journey time according to G-maps. And because I'm built like this, I won't be able to sleep properly until she's home so I might as well be up until early hours waiting for her to come in.

I'm debating a trip onto the North Downs to watch fireworks - about 25 miles as the crow flies but apparently very visible if it's clear, which it is tonight.

Round my bro in laws for a few hours. I don't really drink any more, and will be driving there and back. Taking our kids, so a perfect excuse to be home way before midnight.

Dropped the oldest at the train station just after lunch as he's headed up beside Dingwall for Hogmanay to see one of his flatmates from Uni. Second one is at home with her mum and the youngest 2 are at mine. Evening will be like most evenings they are at mine with some online quizzes followed by some boardgames although there will be extra snacks out tonight

It's already past my bedtime. Going to put some earbuds in to block out the fireworks.

Night night all.

Just made an Instagram post of me riding my trials bike without a great deal of skill.

MIght start a second 660ml bottle of beer, and maybe finish it by midnight.

2025 whatever. edit: don't think I can bare to watch later with holland yet again.

Washing and ironing done. Stranger Things is on. I’ve never watched an episode so am reading The Numbers Game. A self-chosen Christmas book.

Nothing exciting here. We’ve been plasterboarding our spare room because it needs doing before we go on holiday next week.

Just finished for the night and will be having a couple of drinks on the sofa.

Going to pop into the back garden and watch the fireworks over Manchester (we're 10 miles out, but have a view over to the city). Then it's bed. So tired.
