And it’s just stunning. I’ve always loved the original, but this is fabulous. It’s a video, but I really hope it’s made available as a standalone song.

Thanks CountZero - I didn't know about this. I'm a long-time admirer of Peter Gabriel's work, and I do love a good collaboration. Good to see Yo-Yo Ma.

This is one of a few songs (from any artist) that always stops me in my tracks and makes my hair stand on end. Very powerful. I loved this new arrangement.

Thanks OP. Still so powerful after 40 years. And still relevant.

Yes, just brilliant. Friend of mine worked at his Real World studios and the world music sessions he hosts there are amazing by all accounts.

True that, mention Paul Simon though and it's a different kettle of fish!

It really is, isn’t it! Thanks for sharing.

Maybe, but his cover of Biko, for Gabriel’s Scratch My Back project is brilliant.

Such a strong song.

That was excellent.

I love how he keeps re-inventing his early songs and adding new artists etc e.g. In Your Eyes has changed so much over the years if you compare his recent live recordings back to the original studio track.

Thanks for that.

One of the best protest songs ever. Scuttles off to compile a playlist of protest songs. Might need a new thread.

Love this. Also made me listen again to The Weight that Playing For Change did a year or so back 🙂

Great version.

And I love Peter Gabriel, but I really wish he'd stop messing around with old stuff and do some new material. He's done nothing properly new for nearly 20 years!
