The amount of glass scares me especially when I look at the metal sides of my HTC

I have an Xperia Z, so a bit old hat, but I've been really pleased with it. I used it in August to take pictures of my kids underwater. The fact it's waterproof, sold it to me, as it's one less thing to worry about, out on a ride.
I've had it for over a year in a roxfit case, and the phone is still in excellent condition
