Ok final gone for a nice big widescreen monitor. Set it to its top resolution (1080) and some web sites (eg this one and Facebook) are just narrow sheets in the middle of the screen with wasted space either side... its like its not stretching the site to the full width of the monitor. Other sites suich as google, maps lattitude etc are the full width. Anyone give me an idiots guide to sorting it out ?

Is it a telly or a dedicated pc monitor? I had a toshiba Telly that wouldn't do it's native resolution via a vga connection and left bands down the side. replaced with a samsung.
Graphics card able to do higher resolutions/refresh rate?

Wait i see what you mean...Sorry that's just the width single track is set at.
