Cute dog, looks like a proper character. My brother brought his latest dog round last night. Cutest thing you've ever seen when him and my sis-in-law got it. Six months old now, beautiful dog, weighs six and a half stone, and stands up near my waist! His names Mac, but he's now called the Bear. Still thinks he's a puppy, tho'. Sadly not got a photo of my own available.

Slight hijack - caused by cute doggie!

Am I right to think we shouldn't get a dog (like this) if there's no-one at home between 8.30am and 3.30pm on weekdays?

Never mind the flowers, he looks ideal for stopping cats from crapping in the beds. But why Colin? Looks more like a Dave?

feefoo ,weve kept dogs for 26 years , always been fed and walked first thing and had access to secure gardens .garage or utillity room with a dog flap .walked and fed again in the evening . with big walks at the weekend . never had any issues or complaints from neighbours and had healthy long lived dogs . im not saying it`s right for eveyone but it can work .

i have no idea whats going on with our font keeps changing .

Colin`s first week with us has been ace , we forgot how much fun and how tiring a puppy was , sleeping in his crate , house training going okay and a trip to the vets for his first jabs .a healthy 5k in weight and razor sharp teeth growing rapidly .
He had a trip to Tollah`s house this morning for a play with the big boys Paddi and Pozo . 8)

Im a big beleiver in the 'park test' for names

Basically how comfortable you are in shouting your dogs name at the top of your voice to get him/her to come back to you

On that basis Im not sure I could run with Colin and Im out

I have the same test for children - it called the supemarket test and basically it meant calling my first born Stanley (the wifes choice) was a non starter for me- we settled on fi fi trixie bell instead!

Im a big bel[s]ei[/s]iever in the 'park test' for names

Hence the need to own a dog called "NBoogie" and another called "Myface"

That way, when the former is on the armchair when he shouldn't be, one can yell "Get down...."

And then, when the latter lagging behind in the park, one can shout "Come on...."
