Our neighbours next door are away, their smoke alarm started going off last night at about 10pm.
We did the neighbourly thing and checked as much as we could from outside, eventually called non-emergency Fire Dept. number and they came round, looked through windows used IR camera etc and satisfied it's just an alarm an no actual fire.
This now leaves us in the lovely situation of having 2 mains powered smoke alarms going off constantly next door (terraced house) which is becoming a bit tiresome, didn't sleep well last night 
Any ideas for legal solutions?
