[Closed] nearly killed a moorhen today 🙁

well yesterday.cycling on k & a canal back from melksham.was passing some mallards,when i suddenly spotted a female moorhen in some grass,which then proceeded to run right in front of my wheel.i slammed on the anchors as fast as i could,but am convinced that i hit it.it ran into the canal though.why do animals/birds always go right into your path (i killed a female blackbird,that just flew out of nowhere straight into my wheel 🙁 i'm a monster i tell you! edit i'm sorry mrs morrhen i hope that you are alright.
