I admit it, I enjoy having naan and mango chutney with a chilli. Am I a deviant?

Just strange, I love chilli and rice (and only basmati) in a pitta.

a bit, yes.

i'd struggle to eat a naan bread with chilli, but since i got a tortilla press and a good local supply of masa harina flour i make my own blue corn tortillas whenever i make chilli...

You probably do it to emulate the posh eccentric family who used to employ you as a gardener.

If A is good and B is good, then A+B is better. Stands to reason.

Sounds reasonable to me, I always have a slice of bread or 2 with a chilli

Not a lover of mango chutney myself but naan bread with chilli works.

not deviant if its a "proper" naan

supermarket naans are rank, and bad enough when eaten with a curry

Chilli should really be mopped up with a pitta or a dry fried flour tortilla. Yummers.
