Unusually for me i can't find anything about this critter on the web, there's only so many ways one can google for a black and white hairy creature.

So, just what is this life form?

Found on what i believe to be a honey fungus.
It's approx 3-5mm across and has a symmetrical appearance, as you can see it has what looks like hairy bits.

It could just be a bit of crap picked up when the fruiting body pushed up. Did you see it move? 😀

Woody2000, I'd think it was to symmetrical to be a random piece of dirt, it didn't move which leads me to thinks it is some type of pupa.

Unfortunately the conditions didn't allow for a better image, that and i didn't really try a sharper, clearer shot of it. An above picture would of shown it's symmetry. Hey ho!
