Got this email this morning:

We were unable to renew the following Singletrack subscription:

---------------------------------------------
Digital
---------------------------------------------

Gain access to Premier content and the digital magazine via your singletrackworld.com user account.

Renewal for 12 months: £15.00

This transaction cannot be processed.
Please try a different card.

Please verify your subscription settings as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted service:

Can I offer a suggestion as a former Premier subscriber?

If you're going to auto-renew subscriptions without consent, a "thank you" wouldn't go amiss as opposed to an auto-generated email whining about the card expiring.

If you're going to auto-renew subscriptions without consent
is that even legal?

I think there's an opt out (or in?) ticky box when you first set about subscribing.

When you order one of our subscriptions the system explains that it is an autorenewing subscription that you can cancel at any time. There is a tick box that you can untick to cancel all future renewals in your Premier account settings. Just click on the 'Premier' option on the main menu.

Gotta love the internet, for airing those petty little gripes.

£15 to Mountain Rescue please (post receipt as proof).

After all, it's only £1.49 a month. Quit whining.

The amount of the subscription is neither here nor there - it's great value for money. My whine was the auto-renewal (and specifically, the lack of a heads-up so I could update the card details in time).

On the subject of P, and if Mark is still around. Do the one month gift subs not work anymore? 2 people have taken it upon themselves to share their P with me over last month. Both times code came up as expired error.

Seeing as you were one of the 2, I put my trust in your hygiene routine.

I wasn’t whining, you were. Remember, you started a thread about it and everything. It’s pretty much standard practice for things to automatically renew nowadays.

What’s mountain rescue got to do with anything?

It's true. Just take most the arguments on here for example.

Ah yes, I was going to mention it, but got caught up in the heat of the moment.

I suggest you get yourself checked out.....
