Still not sure about bowling, feels like it might be tough to bat on day 5.

Aaaargh - you teased me! I thought there was a good repeat on Sky!!

...as a solitary pigeon struts about rather nonchalantly in the outfield, and a large red bus is just ambling it's way down the Kirkstall Lane. Oh look at that, there's a gentlemen under the scoreboard wearing a very fetching raincoat, or is it a Macintosh? It's a bit difficult to see from here...

It’s on TMS, which is arguably better.

Warner does not sound comfortable already.

I’m being diplomatic.
Warner does not have a clue here.

And now Headingley 81!

Am a bit more chipper than I was a few hours ago.

Light meter out, and they're going off.

Australia will be happy with this.

They’re back out. Warner still not in control.

This has been a great thing to do. I’ve been fettling around the garden and house and having TMS chuntering quietly has improved my mood hugely. Can’t wait to find out what happens!

It would help if Sir Alastair stopped taking commentator’s wickets!

Need a good start from Roy and Burns here. Nothing stupid before lunch boys.

Into the lunch break with no wickets down. Solid start.

Here's hoping that 50 for Root can inspire the rest of the team, but it's still a hell of an ask...

It’s a big ask, but there is a touch or confidence in the way they’re playing.

I’m weeding with TMS on.  As I’m celebrating every run (and the odd forward defence) with a fist pump, there’s not much gardening going on.  Buttler in, he’s not got many test runs. Worried.

Run out! Disaster.  Looks like non striker Buttler was on the charge. Great throw tho. Direct hit. Advantage Australia.

Woakes is the last man who can hold a bat, we need him to hang around.

Woakes can bat tho. Still some hope whole Stokes is in.

Cheap dismissal. Early into the shot. Could see he wanted to get a move on, but not a great shot. Not contributed much Woakes, didn’t take a lot of the bowling and has been out cheaply (still everyone was) in the 1st innings.

Australia bowling very disciplined.  90+ feels like a long way away.

no hope from here. Australia will get enough chances and they don't miss them when they're important.

I thought this was a joke thread (sorry I’m out of touch) and was going to make a ‘joke’ about cakes. Brilliant stuff.
