Yup. That’s exactly the spot Hughes was hit at the SCG. I would be taking no chances.

Might not be seeing Smith at the next Test, either.

I'm not sure what rugby guidelines are but my son just got concussion for the second time diving. NHS guidelines are 2 weeks complete rest and three weeks before going back to your sport and then only if symptoms have cleared up. Friend is a nurse and involved with rugby and she left us in no doubt about following those guidelines.

WhT free vpn for listening to tms from abroad?

Have you tried streaming from the BBC sport web page? If you're in a country without domestic broadcasting rights you can listen to TMS.

Good to see concussion being taken seriously these days

He should never have been back out yesterday. Right decision, but too late.

Yes and the sounds app. It’s blocked on both.

Edit I mean on the WiFi here. Can get it on mobile signal.

As Tuffers mentioned, its not just technical now, but abput bravery as well. Having grown up on a diet of Marshall, Walsh, Ambrose et al, its lovely to see such visceral bowling back on show.

Come on England. 1 more wicket in next 5 min and they’ll start wobbling.

90mph+ on a slow pitch🏏🤔😯
Is the measurement before or after the bounce? Must be before.

Speed is measured when bowler releases ball using a radar gun, I think.
Inteteresting that Headingley has been measured as the fastest track in England; if true......

Ooh.....

Speed gun speeds can’t be trusted, according to Vaughn they’ve been ‘adjusted’

I have few mates who understand the drama and joy of watching test cricket. Go about your Sunday but always have it on somewhere in the background and it makes for awesome sport. Even did the dinner washing up watching it on my phone. Bloody great day!

Whilst that is going to make England's job a lot (potentially - depending on how Labuschagne plays) easier it's a real shame. You want both teams at full strength. It's like when McGrath tripped on a ball and we made hay - does not feel quite the same when you win in those circumstances.

It does make letting him go back out to bat looking even more daft a decision.

While it's good from a winning perspective I would like to have seen how he coped with Jofra on what's been called the fastest pitch in England. We should see a decent win here if some of the batsmen can wake up.

Don't get too carried away with the Jofra effect. Yes, he is capable of bowling a ball at 96mph, but Starc has hit 95mph himself, Cummins can bowl 90+ as can Pattinson. Hazlewood is also a match for every other available England bowler in purely pace terms.

Wickets that favour extreme pace are not to England's advantage as we only have one truly express bowler, they have three.

There should be a TMS rule that Boycott is only allowed to be on the radio during rain delays if Aggers is on too to keep him in check. This is excruciating.

edit - scratch that. Just get him gone.

they quietly had to stop boycott bingo, it was like mocking the afflicted! they need to get shot, sky can keep him but most people have the sound turned down and listen to tms.
