That is GLORIOUS!

(Am currently banned from twitter, for jokingly threatening to kill someone to death with an egg whisk. Apparently that was deemed serious enough for a permaban!)

permaban

Blimey! You can be an actual poster of bombs to Democrats or mass shooter in synagogues and not get a ban on twitter.

This 'Cricket Social' replacement for TMS I am listening to right now...thoughts? Not for me I'm afraid - I'm guessing it is cheaper to broadcast. Anyone know when they are going to use this format - for all overseas matches or just the 'low rent' tests?

WOW!

Foakes has just taken the easiest catch he'll make in test cricket, but that barely tells the story. Seek it out later, simply stunning cricket.

Best bits so far have been Capt Tim sledging and answering phones 🙂 and he got some babysitting over new year from Pant.
BBL is much more fun though, close finish in Adelaide coming up.

Strikers should have put Rashid in to bat - the extra 20 runs could have made it a lot closer.

Weather indeed saves a 3-1 score line; shame that the Ashes are another seven months away.

They are so poor that bringing back Smith & Warner is looking highly likely.

they need to bring back the sand paper, the bowling attack looked toothless.

In other Australian cricket, Hurricanes recovered from 11-3 to finish 145-5, thanks to George Bailey’s composed 70. Could be a good chase, as this is the highest score on the pitch this BBL, and the Renegades have Finch back on their squad.
(R5SX commentary, as slow start to the day.)

Post update
James Anderson has three wickets for five runs in four overs with this new ball.

He's a bit special, that lad.

263-7 though.

With my extensive knowledge of cricket, I reckon W Indies probably don’t fancy a 4th* innings on that pitch if England somehow managed to post a decent 3rd*.

* or should I just say 2nd for both?

Plus the trend has shifted away from enforcing the follow-on. There's a school of thought that it's better to keep your bowlers fresh if you can, rather than sending them straight out again.

Yeah but in this case I reckon they were just warmed up 30 overs and still didn't make a ton!!

Surely though the bowlers should be pretty fresh - they weren't bowling for long! Knock over 3 or 4 tonight, get a good rest and finish it off tomorrow morning.

Wonder sometimes if there's a financial element in looking to extend the match for longer?

This could all be over today if they get a shift on.

Really doesn't look like the pitch will be helpful during the 4th innings. Or the third. Or the second.
