seaking the collective wisdom of the forum on tips for the above job tv is being mounted above fire place got the mount quite a beefy one,any tips??

is there something stopping the heat from the fire getting to the telly?

yep there is a mantle piece which will deflect the heat away and the fire is very rarly used now a day as its an open fire and were not at home enough to put it on

Just pop down to screwfix and ask for some sky hooks and a long weight to balance the tv, theyll help you out.

You wouldnt get that for screwing up the ecconomy and the resultant loss of thousands of jobs.
