Please don't bother if you are a hater.

However, this is looking like being a contender for me - only an artistic rendering at the moment - Ferrari 458 Spider

Not really tron, maybe 20 years ago, or whenever it was made. Looks like a kit car now.

Is this a supercar? No idea really, it's certainly the most beautiful car ever.

nah, the lambos take it so far.

i think (most) modern cars look better - the e-type for example is just ugly IMO

see the audi r8 looks lovely but not feeling the spyder. as a rule though i can't love audi because most of them dont have the wow factor.

having said that the engine noise from this rs3 is epic - sounds like its inhaling the scenery

from 1 min in is the good bit 🙂

Maserati Grancabrio is a lovely looking car. See a coupe (Granturismo) heading to work most days and it sounds lovely too.

I'm a Ferrari hater.....sorry on the other hand I suppose it depends what you class as a supercar. I hope that Ferrari comment never comes back to bite me in the arse. The pinkpanther mobile was up for sale the other day however

Not REALLY a supercar, but I've always loved the way these thing look.

[img] [/img]

More than a hint of e-Type in that shape to my eyes too - which IS a beautiful piece of car design if you can lose your modern eyes for a moment.

just googled TVR and there are some vented freaks out there:

i quite like the "go gettem" stance of it. looks like a car straining at the leash to be let loose.

for me lambo is the manufacturer that has consistently made cars that look "super"

not necessarily great cars but they are styled to the max

What a thread for proving there's no accounting for tastes!

IMO Lambos are the best looking modern supercars. The original Countach has to be one of the best designed cars ever.

Anyone who thinks that of the F40 must be stuck in the 80s!

Lotus Esprit, Ferrari 308 GTB.

I've yearned after either one since the 80's. I could now afford a Lotus but the running costs...

Apparently they are going to make a smaller version - the 4c, which possibly your average millionaire could afford. I think the 8c required gates/oligarch cash to buy.

There's a lot of cars on here that are a) not supercars. And b) most certainly not beautiful.

Impressive, imposing, macho, yes maybe. But an Audi R8?
Give it a rest!
And I LOVE Countachs but beautiful they ain't. Excessive is the word I'd use.

When it comes to looks, this is the top of my tree, and always has been. But it's not a supercar.

My current soft spot is this though, I do have a thing for Alfas

OK, so I was kidding with the Mitsuoka. It's just a Honda NSX in a godawful bodykit anway.

I like the Alfa 8C, the Ferrari 246/250/275, the Lambo Miura, but I reckon montylikesbeer has it with the Alfa Tipo 33 Stradale.

What defines a supercar these days? I'm seen lambos, Ferraris, Porsches, etc on this thread, but none of them particularly say beauty to me, although the very first post was close and some of the Alfas have a certain appeal.

Straight lines (lambo, Lotus, anything from the 80's) just really don't do it for me. I need smooth flowing lines, curves that would not look out of place on a supermodel (ok, a slightly fatter one than normal), something like this a 1962 Ferrari GT California

[img] [/img]

That's not to say that I hate modern cars, but they just don't look as nice. I would dearly like to own and drive a Porsche GT3RS, but I don't think it's a stunning car, it's just a masterpiece of engineering.

Always thought this was a pretty car, not sure you would class it a supercar now, but back then I guess

Another, that looked amazing in the flesh, but just a concept still I think F-Type at the NEC.
