Apologies monsieur. I'm on a work PC and it's a bit finnickety as to which pictures I'm allowed to see.

Good shouts for Ferrari, Aston and Alfa.

Yes Monty had it right. There are some good looking cars here, IMHO modern cars don't quite have the beauty of those designed by hand.

The shape and curves I think are as good as it gets

In aesthetic terms, is there a factual (rather than a keyboard warrior's opinion) reason why the Countach couldn't be the best designed car ever?

It's fathered everything they've made since.

Koenigsegg ok....well damn fine
If you have to ask about about why a countach is a bag of shite !!! Maybe some folks aren't keyboard warriors but know more lamborghini than they do about bonding a spoon to a fork leg

Is the top one that Jag E-Type reworking what was on Top Gear?

The black one is a Di Tomaso Pantera. I know this because I had a Matchbox one and it mustuv bin one of the most obscure models I had. Very distinctive shape too.

The bottom one looks Italian, but I have a sneaking suspicion it might not be. It's got that Italian look though.

I thin Samuri's choice of the Alfa Tipo Stradale is edging it atm (even more so than my choice of the Ferrari 330 possibly), but after a very poor start, it seems more folk are understanding the concept of beauty. Although there will always be a few poor, misguided, deluded aesthetically illiterate souls they need our help; pity them for they know not what they speak of.

It's not considered a 'supercar' but it will cost you as much as one to keep on the road. There's a Yummy Mummy in Swiss Cottage I've seen a couple of times trying to chat her up (to get a ride) but I don't think she's having it tbh. 🙁

Nice car the SM Rusty Spanner, but for proper sexy stuff it's got to be the Citroën DS Décapotable with Jane Birkin :

You'll also need a "capote anglaise" and this playing on the radio :

Oh how the memories come flooding back ......

Ernie, DS Décapotables always remind me the late, unlamented Alan Clark.

Which I'm sure you'll agree is enough to put anyone off their stroke.

Having been lucky enough to drive just about all the Koeniseggs this is still my fav, just loved driving this on full slicks down the local lanes around the factory 8)

Shame it never made it into Le Mans, had a lot of potential, just needed the backing and track time.

[img] [/img]

And after driving a 1000bhp K'egg down the test track, all these other pretenders are just that, that's the difference between a supercar and a hypercar 😉

speak for yourself. I think he's a legend.

The nazi sympathising wasnt his best hour but nobbing someone else's wife AND their daughter is AWESOME! 😉

Also rather fond of this ugly duckling, the Lambo Espada. Possibly about as practical as they ever got with a V12 hatchback:

Seen it all now - a hummer in a most beautiful supercar thread.

For me, the Aston Martin Vanquish has the best combination of beauty, balance, assertiveness and poise. Not quite as brash as most modern supercars either.

That was Tony Crooks. He sold Bristol to Toby Silverton, and earlier this year it went into receivership, but it appears to be up and running again.
