Does anyone know the best way to get rid of mortar bees? With all the burrowing they do, do they actually damage your property?

masonry bees are pretty harmless, they don't dig in far and only in proper old-fashioned soft mortar. They are good for the garden as they pollinate stuff.
If you must get rid of them, just repoint with a harder mortar and they'll die slowly and horribly in a little cement prison.
You can get little beeboxes to put up for the to live in... ahhh, cute.
