Just ordered a Cree T6 light (1600 Lumen - yeah right!) which claims to work happily with either 3xAAA's or a single 18650. I already have a decent AA/AAA charger so wondering is it worth investing in a couple of 18650's and a charger or just spending far less money on an extra set of good AAAs? If AAAs get up to about 1000mAh and protected 18650s seem to be around 3000mAh then is there going to be much in it?
