Mrs A popped a wash on, incl. son's mobile (samsung tocco lite) so it's now v clean.

Took battery and sim out, and left on the radiator for 24 hrs ... it seems fine except the 'back' / keypad button (not the touch-screen) isn't working (which apparently is the main button to use). Any fix ideas?

Put in a plastic box of dry (uncooked) rice to get any remaining moisture out. Prefferably prior to putting battery in and switching on.

Battery will be shorted so no use.
Best of luck with the phone though.

or leave in the airing cupboard if you have 1 for 24-48 hours.

Left on a radiator and the battery seems fine, and phone working fine except for the one main keypad button.

Am guessing it's shorted behind the non-functioning button... so have split the case and left on radiator again in hope. If it has shorted out, any way of DIY repairing?

Get some epsom salts and microwave them until all the moisture is removed or heat on a hot skillet or if you want to slow cook them stick in the oven, but microwave is fastest.

Put the phone in a box with that. Beats rice for absorbing power

Spray it with loads of WD40. Really soak it. Worked with mine.

Just sent Mrs A out to buy a new phone, then maybe she'll be more careful next time. 😉
