I love the fact that in today’s society we can pretty much wear what the hell we feel like wearing..

I get that you can wear whatever style you want but I think that there are probably better solutions to footwear construction than the wooden sole. I once tried some on at that clog place near Todmorden and I honestly thought they were operating some sort of clog scam, there was simply no way wearing them had any advantages for any wearer at all.
Its like fitting wooden wheels to your Audi.
Or keeping livestock on the ground floor of your house to keep upstairs warmer.
Or having a well in your garden with a bucket your only source of water.
Some old stuff is still useful. Clogs are not.
