I've got L200 4work cub cab 2.5td. imo I wouldn't but one personally mines supplied through work. Uncomfortable driving seat/position, gutless, if you have a lot of weight in it constantly (take it your not) then it will eat the outside of front tyres up and not very fuel efficient.

single or double cab?

A mate had a double one. It was surprisingly bad. The load area is pretty rubbish. Rubbish mpg, Much better off with an estate.

Crap turning circle, bitch to park and with a habit of blowing cylinder heads (got told that when I was looking for a pickup - bought a Navara and got shot of that after 12 months... unless you are building houses and moving sheep around don't bother with a pickup. It made sense for me for engineering use, but the thing was such a pig that I decided to live with the shortcomings of something more conventional)

Oh yea forgot about the turning circle makes a Landrover look like it turns on a dime. If you must have a 4x4 pick up imo i'd suggest a Toyota hilux.

All of the above, turning circle very poor, load area rubbish, MPG poor.

Alot better out there, but worse of a bad bunch.

Even though I hate the thing I did a off road course the other month in mine and even the instructor was impressed with it's off road capability the only thing the Landrover beat it on was ground clearance and he wouldn't take me down one of the trails because of said turning circle.

they are ace for losing the back end at roundabouts and corners in the wet and ice/snow, especially when unloaded (which is 99.999999999999999% of the time lets face it).

Also a mate of mine had one (actually a work vehicle). His boss drove it back and thought it would be fun to drive over the grass outside his work... and got stuck. Had to get a farmer to drag it out. Class.
