I know there are a few IT Bods on here so anyone got any recommendations?
are the MS Press books any good?
e.g. MS Press .net Win App Dev

not done any before, so was thinking I'd dip my toe in the water with one I'm pretty comfortable with before moving on to one's I'm less familiar with

Edit. I should add that I'm really not after for a memorizing questions and answers approach as some websites seem to be selling.

Not a developer (AD/Exchange person instead) but MS Press books are my normal first port of call, especially if it's for exam prep. Often others do better in-depth books but MS Press always cover the exam syllabus nicely.
