The in laws are buying a Mercedes Sprinter based campervan and need a bike rack for it. Looking at either towbar or Fiamma style door mounted options. Any thoughts on either?
off the top of my head, the towbar rack could be used on their car too. How secure are the Fiamma door racks? It will have a couple of grands worth of bikes on it. I’m thinking the tow bar option could be locked on to the tow bar and then the bikes locked to that.
The door racks are secure enough. Nothing will stop a pro with the right kit but they're good enough with some additional strong locks. I don't think I've seen one on a Sprinter but you might be able to adapt a Ducato one to fit depending on the door width. Our Hi-roof Transit uses an adapted Ducato rack.

I think he’s found a Fiamma door mounted one for the sprinter. Just wasn’t sure which was the best option
