My old media PC has died so I'm looking for a replacement.

I'm after something under £300 (basically what the old one cost), ideally with HDMI output, DVD RW (blueray would be even better), screen not needed, hard drive of 250Gb+, Windows 7

But that said, I'm happy to do a build from barebones if anyone has any recommendations

Needs to be smallish formfactor - or at least, not a massive PC tower as it'll be going in the TV unit.

Thanks!

FWIW, I've looked at this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/256169 which looks decent but no optical drive (so would need an external one which isn't ideal)

I'm interested in one of these too.

What is your plan for controlling it? wireless mouse and keyboard? can you get built in bluetooth?

I've already got a wireless keyboard/mouse which I'd highly recommend

Five years and still going strong despite numerous drops, general abuse and use.

I'm only going to use windows media centre so it'll be a remote control, I guess with bluetooth keyboard on standby.

I was going to use the guts of my old desktop for it but holy cow that one clubber posted looks brilliant and should be more eco too. Having said that, I've got some crazy plans including both freeview AND freesat, so I think it'd need PCI slots.

With cases I'd be more concerned that something would look good online but turns out to be crappy when you get hold of it.
