The 'nag' horse botherer deserved the sentence. If you read his statement he tries to dismiss the offence as an act of self defense almost when the footage clearly shows him square up to the horse before punching it. Hiding his face with a scarf and claim it was for a sore tooth? Lying ****.
Can't comment on the other sentencing as I haven't read about it.

But, just playing 'Devil's Advocate' here for a minute. Weren't the police using the horse as a weapon. I mean, did this happen in some kind of battle. It's not like he walked into a paddock and punched a horse.
