Once fixed, try using a script management tool like NoScript (Firefox add-on) ([url= https://noscript.net/ ]link[/url]). It prevents all scripts from being run on a webpage, except for those you have allowed. It takes a short while to get used to - you'll sometimes have to get the drop-down menu out to allow scripts before certain content becomes visible/active - but once you're au fait with it you'll barely notice it.

why doesn't kaspersky stop this stuff?

A lot of malware is considered PUPs, Potentially Unwanted Programs, which doesn't put them in the firing line of some anti-virus software and can be considered legitimate software, just possibly annoying to some by the amount of adverts they push on you and system changes they make to do so.
