Cyril was a wrong 'un. He also got paid off to try and cover up the dangers of the local asbestos factory.
Not sure the mockery of JHJ is warranted on this one really - it's not a "conspiracy theory" when it turns out all the allegations of wrong-doing and the allegations of subsequent cover ups and awareness in high places turn out to be fundamentally true.

We might need to return to this in future. Just marking a place and keeping an open mind. This in the light of the recent Ted Heath news. The 70's appear to be a nasty time and place if you were on the fringes and relying on the state for your upbringing.
