What do we think of this initiative?

Is it just wishful thinking? Any chance those of us who do not want to sever our legal ties with the EU will catch a break?

Either way, I have certainly signed.

Probably pointless, signed anyway. You never know...

Fairly pointless, it'll have no legal force. Plus this..

it is instead primarily an issue of identity, and our wish to continue to be identified as Europeans.

Dunno, if you've ever looked at a map, but, erm.... 😆

If you think Boris is going to give associate British citienship to 400 million or so Europeans it might work. It won't work.

Probably won't work, but worth a try.

However, there's absolutely nothing on that site to suggest who's behind it, so I won't be entering any information.

It a ploy by Min of Truth to flush out remainers.
Then off to Room 101 with them for re education.

If you or your children have an existing claim to citizenship of another* EU country, you should be sorting that out right now. Get that second passport. ASAP. Otherwise, you either have to live in one of the other* EU countries for a long enough period of time, or if you’re a millionaire buy a Maltese passport, or, like most of us, sit back and let the UK government strip you and all your family of your rights. Still, it’s time for you to ‘get behind’ losing those rights, get out there and take advantage of losing them, stop moaning…

(can only say that for one more day)

Worth a try.

My money is on Scottish independence.

That's probably the best bet for people living in England too.

All they have to do is support Scottish independence and move here before we also introduce citizenship restrictions, but an arrangement such as existed between Ireland and the UK would probably happen anyway.
