After reading the "My first club run" thread it got me thinking, my local is riding club is "The Macclesfield Wheelers" who look like they cover pretty much ever type of riding.
So anybody been/still a member?? What they really like??
Or just MTFU, pay the 12 quid membership and see for myself??

Funny but our whole family were members once upon a timenway back when. This was around 1986 onwards! My brother and I raced time trials and the road with them. I think that some of the members are still there as I bumped into one of them recently. They were always a great, very relaxed and fun orientated and while they had some very fit members they never took racing so seriously as to let it take-over the club.
If you do go out with them then keep an ear out for a guy named John Jackson and anyone with the surname Renshaw.
