Recently converted from PC to Mac...trying to do some basic alterations to some images in Preview.

My problem comes when I'm finished, how do I save it? i.e how do I control where and how it's saved? Obviously I can click on the red circle to close and it gives me the option to save changes, but then I cannot find where these are saved to....new computer stuff fries my brain!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, googling is leading me in ever-infuriating circles!

Scroll the 'where' button when the 'Save As' box appears and choose your destination.

how do I control where and how it's saved

Does 'how' mean what file format: JPEG, TIFF etc?

If you don't close the saved file and you don't know where it is, right (control) click the filename at the top of the window to find out where it now resides.
