buy a new one....
buy more ram
applejack regularly. and macaroni to remove localised files and do the housekeeping of applejack without having to use single user mode.

more free space is better. 25g isn't a lot.
Have a de-grot every now and then.
Few years ago, a flatmate bought a new iMac. Few days later, he asked me to have a look at it, as it was running very slowly. So, I had a look around, and discovered his hard drive was almost full (about 200MB left of 80GB). Further investigation revealed that his Downloads folder had 70 odd gigs in it.
Of pure grot.
The dirty little bastard had only had it less than a week, yet managed to download 70+ gigs of grot!! Well, that explained why our internets had been unusually slow in the last few days! Thank **** we had unlimited downloads is all I can say.
So yeah, get de-grotting...
