What do you use? Is it any good? Must be able to read/write visio files and play nicely with it.

Thanks.

...you'll need the Pro version for read/write support, tho.

Bit more info: http://support.omnigroup.com/omnigraffle-import-visio

Basically, read this, tho: http://machow2.com/best-alternatives-visio-mac/

I've got VMWare on there. Really would like to ditch it and just have OS X apps.

OmniGraffle looks a good bet. Have you actually used it?

Of course I haven't. What do you think this is, proper advice? 😀

....seriously, a friend uses it and likes it, but not sure they do a lot of Visio work. I believe there is a trial version, although not sure if it has the Pro feature set.

I don't do much visio but I have used omnigraffle a lot.

It's ace, so much better than visio for creating the sorts of diagrams/posters I've needed to in the past.

Depends what you need. Omnigraffle is pretty good, with plenty of 3rd party stencils available, but for basic stuff, the drawing tools in Office are more than capable.

Omnigraffle is good, probably at east as good if not better than Visio!

There are a huge number of templates at graffletopia, too.

If you are looking for more vector drawing rather than diagrams, though, checkout Sketch.
