I have just signed a contract for a Samsung Galaxy S after checking that it will support Lotus Notes using Traveller.

I get home and try to configure it only to be told by IT (Work Obstruction Unit) that Lotus Notes Traveller doesn't work on Android.

Anyone got a smart phone with Lotus Notes working on it?

Try Mnotes from Commontime as that should work with an Android no problem, we use it here as a full suite on older microsoft based phones but I'm not a great fan of it on them.

I'd posit that they're lying.

Looks like this app syncs with Lotus:

I have now been told that the [s]Work Prevention[/s] IT Department will only allow software they have authorised.

Windows Mobile 5.0 / 6.01
Micro Java
Nokia
Sony Erriccson

What alternative to the Galaxy S that runs one of them?
