I have just acquired a sizeable collection of old looney tunes dvd's. 😀 You know the classics ones, Bugs, Daffy, Yosemite Sam ect... My daughter (8) has walked into the living room and said what's this.!!! I asked her if she had ever seen Daffy and co and the answer was an obvious no.

Good lord what do they show on kids telly these days.? I have spent an hour or two watching them and they are class. A little none PC but still bloody good.

What has the world come to.?

So Mary Whithouse finally won?! Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry censored. Christ on a crutch. How long will it be before history can't be taught cos of all the non-pc goings on? Even the holocaust deny-ers will get there way as it's be too incorrect to say that at one time people had anti-semitic/gypsy/gay beliefs and hounded and murdered these groups. I think of myself as fairly liberal and socialist but this sort of c£$p really gets me going.

At one point Speedy Gonzales was completely withdrawn but reinstated later due to a public outcry from the hispanic commumity.

I love cartoons me.

You can now by complete uncut DVD's but they wont broadcast several complete cartoons and have censored lots of others ...

THOMAS!!!

My favorite stuff is Tex Avery, especially... Screwy Squirrel!; even the man himself thought it was too over the top and coarse.

+1 Road runner and bugs. If I'm taking my boy to school we watch Loony tunes. I like them all although Speedy Gonzales is my least favourite - stories a bit too repetitive.

I read Chuck jones' autobiography; "Chuck amock" seems he was in love with his job from day 1 ,a lucky and very talented man.

Road Runner and Wile E Coyote, Pepe Le Peu, Bugs and Elmer Fudd. Love 'em all, pretty much guaranteed tears when watching Warner cartoons.
