Apart from the boltcutter bits I am really enjoying this drama, wheres it going to end eh?

I've enjoyed how you feel torn about feeling that Gates is a bad chap, and at the same time sorry for him when he's cornered. The scottish voice on the phone is a little bit hammed up tho.
I think Gates is going to get killed trying to save Arnott.
Gates will eat it yeah, but I have been surprised by lots of twists so who knows?
There is a bit of me thinks that the chier super ( not the AC12 boss, the other one ) is involved somewhere down the line too.
Not watched last nights yet, so no spoliers! But yes its been great

It does segue into comedy from time to time. The WPC who knows exactly how many and which forms are required for each offence. The cartoon Glaswegian on the phone, so lazy, like it's the only way to convey that somebody is really really dangerous "I know let's make them a Weegie". And the chief boss clearly modelled his portrayal on the Officers in Black Adder Goes Forth.
the tension was so much it gave me a stomach ache last night! And Gates running off that way lost me the last of any sympathy I had for him 🙁
I've enjoyed the plot and drama have been pretty good but some of the writing has been awful - the dialogue, the plot devices, couple of the characters and so on. That has frustrated me a bit because the ingredients are there for a good series it just seems to be lacking a bit in the execution.
