Ooh, that toolkit would be ideal for the car, if only it had an external bottom bracket tool....

I don't think there was a Lidl in 1904. ๐Ÿ™‚

That tool kit look great value if you nothing else. Had a similar one for 5 year plus, though some stuff if outdated and the Allen keys too soft, the chain whip, chain tool, cassette locking tool & ST tool still get used regularly.

I got the tool kit last year. Rather than spending a tenner on each item elsewhere (which I'll end up doing anyway, but in a more leisurely way, thus preventing bankruptcy).

For 25 notes it does the job. Contains most of what you need and gets you started if nothing else.

I tell you what. After years of using a screwdriver and hammer to remove bottom brackets and cassettes it was a revelation to me!

I'm going to get the big one so I have one in the UK and one here. It's identical to the one I got 3 years ago from Merlin by the looks of it so should do the job and save me having to transport tools between countries.

Aldi is selling an electric bike over here. As much as I like bikes and like gadgets, that is not at all appealing.

Looks like that performance bra could hold a lot of kit might do away with a camelback ๐Ÿ˜†

Bump - And are those LIDL summer gloves any good? I've got the winter ones (great) and am a wondering if summer ones are worth a punt.

I have used the gloves - they are quite thick so nice for in-between weather. Check the fit.

Want reflectors for commuter

Might look at the rucksack too

I've just been to Aldi to buy a couple of Bamboo tees for riding/footy/just slobing about. Also picked up a nice softshell jacket that i'm going to be using for work.

I got a pair of the ยฃ4.99 mtb gloves last summer, they disintegrated on Tuesday, after not a lot of use. I think the ยฃ10 sombrio/661s off of crc are probably better value to be honest.

The locks are ideal as deterrent with bikes on the car rack.stops light fingers.
The lights are good enough too for kids bikes as they have a habit of disappearing too.
the tool kit is well worth the money as are Aldi's gloves ,got couple pairs of those last year, still going strong.

I picked up a couple of the chain cleaners (which are the Barbieri ones that usually cost double).

At ยฃ3.99 each you can't go too far wrong.

And some socks of course. You've always got to buy more socks....
