Jesus, it really is going down the route of Civil war.

The Warfalah Tribe (largest in the region) has thrown its support behind the protesters and have proclaimed Gaddafi etc should die.

Fack.

Bit worried about a client out there. Last text from her said something like "nah, there's no chance of a revolution here".

I think she assumes her texts are being read 🙂

I think he's in blighty at the moment though....

Was going to ask him what his thoughts were. Will just go and see his post log....

EDIT:

So here i am sat in Libya, both our neighbours have kicked off and Egypt with 80 million people are about to kick off big time with Yemen, Morroco, Algeria and the Oman all experiencing demos, interesting times ahead in the Arab World for sure with effects to be felt over the whole World.

Spare a thought for those on the streets because it will be messy before it gets better. Prayers have just ended here in Tripoli and the Mullas message was about Egypt and why the uprising is against Islam etc etc, funny that.

The whole of the 'middle east' is a powderkeg at the moment.

Which is next? Algeria? Syria? Arafat would have been poo-ing himself if he was still around

Iran? That would be a bang you'd want to stand well back from. Israel? Oh well, they are due another big pop.

What a flipping mess

Arafat must be poo-ing himself.

He's probably stopped caring since he died.

Hopefully, Saudi Arabia will soon follow.

gf's dad is in Libya.

Net has been down for days
He's very careful on the phone, refuses to talk about anything in case its monitored. Probably a cross between common sense and paranoia.

I expect his company will pull him out if it starts to go really tits up. can't sell many trucks when you're at war

Health and Safety procedures must be a bit slack at that company. They are shooting people in the street, FFS.

I'd be paddling back to Europe in a bathtub by now.

I agree, but I think I'll fill the car up later.
