@spot1978 as a thank you to people why not set up your smart phone on time lapse when he’s building one or more of the models and then send out the video. A friend of mine did this and it looked really good.

That <<-- Star Wars build. Amazing!

Enjoying the Defender build with my better half.. She's way better at this than I am, but I kind of understand cars so I can see where bits should fit.

Apparently it's about as complex as anything she's built (we have A LOT of lego ;)). Amazingly clever how it's put together. Wondered if it was all done with software or if a person designs the assembly.

We've made a few mistakes. Mostly stopping all the cogs, shafts and wheels turning but not set us back too far.  On bag 2 out of 4. Reckon we'll finish it over the weekend.

Oh and a couple of glasses of wine REALLY messes with my ability to translate pictures into physical parts!

There’s a known flaw with the Defender build that causes the gearbox to creak, so you might want to check this out…

@spacemonkey - thanks. Good timing as those parts are still pretty easy to get too. Shall check them out before doing anything else.

NP @Alex. I've had my eye on the reduced-price Defender for a while as I really like it, but have enough kits to be cracking on with when time permits.

Good timing in the landy video 👍. Having just contracted covid I might finally have time to build mine and well and finish my Bugatti.

The Titanic looks amazing! Can’t help but think it might be a bit of a dull build though, very repetitive.

Apparently the titanic is quite a good build, its broken into lots of small sections and the interior keeps the interest levels up.

Not as dull as building the iceberg

Some cracking deals @ JL as they're doing a voucher code, although some of the tastiest already sold out - Liebherr was £238 and technic Defender £85! The World Map for £190 is very tempting.

Darn it, got the defender from zavvi last month for 95 delivered and thought that I'd timed it perfectly 😁

Also some good deals at Argos, e.g. Bugatti £182.25 with code LEGO10.

I got 6% discount by buying a gift card through employee reward scheme, then £4.38 quidco and a £5 'squidco toy bonus' making it just under £162 🙂

Bugatti is end of line so get it while you can.... pretty much guaranteed to go up in value in a few months I would say, good investment!

Lego10 works on the ISS kit that people mentioned as already a good deal btw. Never actually got round to collecting mine so that's worked out well 🙂

@scuttled thanks for that, looks like I'm in the spare room tonight, one Liebherr ordered at £250 plus a stormtrooper helmet.

For anyone wanting an orange GT3 RS I have one complete with box and instructions that I keep thinking about putting on eBay to fund more bike parts.

@diz £200 plus p&p? Seem to be about that on the bay. Even happier to do collection from Aylesbury.

Went and bought the Bugatti from Smyth's earlier. All gone at Argos round here and I expect this will be it's last hurrah.

I’ve bought a Bugatti, at 10:30pm, for £180. It’s to keep as an investment, for the future. I just know the call to have a look will be strong, (my son)/I have the RS3 kit and it was great to build. Looks great on the lads illuminated shelf with the arocs. There is defo no space on there for another large model, no way. And you definitely can’t get the LED light kit for one, haven’t even checked…..

Looks like Argos and Smiths are out, or very low of stock on the model now.

Tried to hold off from purchasing the Bugatti but just gave in because Argos still had stock. £186 inc del. Not sure I’ll keep it as an investment, will probably tuck into it on a rainy day over winter.

Also nabbed the Lamborghini Urus & Huracán set from Smyths this morning because they mistakenly had it priced at £39 instead of £54. Monkey jnr is currently self isolating and Lego has always been a reliable medicine. He’s a very happy chap.

I had long been trying to build one of my favourite aircraft - the De Havilland Mosquito. I’d never got it quite right. I found some instructions sold by a site that specialises in aftermarket kits using proper Lego - Brickmania. I’ve had to substitute a few parts and change the colour scheme to largely black and white pieces. I’ve also made a few changes that have strengthened the build a little too. I’ll try and add pictures to a subsequent post - if anyone is interested.

I'm interested!

In other news Argos were doing discounts including a couple of the Star Wars helmets. I already have the Boba Fett and am getting the Scout Trooper.

Mag Master bike 8417 ('90s/early '00s) - £40 (this comes with its box but it's pretty beaten up)

That 8417 bike looks a bit like Street Hawk.

There's some astonishing stuff coming into Lego Ideas.

Steampunk Mansion? Unlike anything else I've seen.

Greenhouse?

Would love to see the mosquito build. I keep thinking about a lanc, but it would cost a fortune in lego bits

that is awesome. I would buy that for the cool building nevermind the steampunk figures etc! Needs an airship tethered to the roof though 🤔 There was an "explorers" theme back in the day, maybe it's due a reboot!

Greenhouse?
love it, would be pretty easy to Bricklink something that yourself though I reckon

There's a hot air balloon in one of the buildings.

I'm not sure as the greenhouse / garden would be the most exciting of builds, but it's very pretty.

Those are so cool. I just got myself a lego bonsai tree because I finally killed my last houseplant, maybe I should have waited and gone all in
