Hi, Ive been making up MTB bike lights for a while and Ive just got a LED version that will be available in a few weeks.

Its 1000lumens and only 72g for the light unit (incl bracket + straps) and with lots of various level settings and battery warnings. Let me know if you are interested and I can send more details.

Here is a photo of the un-anodised prototype:-

we'll certainly know why if williams don't do well this year - you've been designing nice bike lights and lurking on a forum 😉

Designed on CATIA and proto'd on a spare Williams stereolithography machine I'll wager 😀

Looking good, beam shots would be handy - could be tempted.

Just an update to LiteOption Ray3a LED lights Ive been working on and the latest production metalwork has now arrived.

As I mentioned before its 1000lumens (x3 XPG LEDs) and weighs only 72g for the light unit (incl bracket + straps) and with lots of various level settings and battery warnings. Total weight for the light unit, 2.6Ah battery and harness is 350g. That gives 3.5Hrs on full pwr or 7Hrs on the mid setting, or there is the option of a 5.2Ah battery.

The whole system is pretty well weather proofed and Ive been using these connectors on previous version for several years now. If you want to be convinced how waterproof the whole system is see the pics.

As you can see I submerged everything in a jug of water for 30mins with no problems.

Ive also done some beam shots to compare with other lights out there. They were all done on full pwr and with the same camera settings.

Exposure MaxxD on Full pwr

Light & Motion Arc on Full pwr

LiteOption Ray2a overvolted 20W Halogen on full pwr

LiteOption Ray3a on full pwr

Let me know if you are interested and I can send more details.

Hi Ian

We had a couple of the original Lite option lights from you (a LONG time ago) through Peter Quaife. Think the serial numbers are all below 10!

If we ship the original carbon units and our 4 (somewhat defunked) batteries to you could you sort something out for us? At least 2 of the batteries no longer work, although they haven't been used that much.
