Fergus
Vader - Memberchewkw do you mean all of them? Seems a bit excessive. Which one would be his middle name?
Choose one but they are all names of Kings (Picts).
The thread before ... they are names of "English" Kings (with two or three not actually Kings but provided the gene for the next King)
๐
Oh, I'm not a Scotch BTW. Grandfather was an Italian immigrant as a young man and lived in Edinburgh and took on a new surname.
Closest to Celt-ism is Welsh. And Ivor is not on the list.
Anyway, all good fun - you've helped us confirm our first choice was just fine...
Night all..!
Ivana Ferguson ... errrmmm ... ๐ฏ
So which girl name have you chosen?
Jock
I've not read all the replies but we had a little boy this time last week, the shortlist was Jack, James, George, Harry, Charlie, once he arrived we called him James for a few minutes and then decided he actually looked like a Daniel which was never even discussed previously.
Sorted, they name themselves.....
Morrissey
Hugo
Zachary
Ulysses
Samson
Arnold
Logan
Fox
Don't think 'he'll get bullied at school. You'll get bullied regardless if you are small, unpopular, fat etc. After being with someone a while a name doesnt sound unordinary anymore- looking soft, short, big, fat etc -DOES stick out.
I always liked Daniel for a boy, but my wife had taught too many little shits called Daniel, so she vetoed that.
Our shortlist included Sam and Noah. We had two girls, so you're welcome to them.
If you use computers a lot, it'll probably be a girl - office theory.
Chopper
Findlay. (Alternative spellings are available...)
Buster.
surely he can only be known as ourweemaninthenorth, or Owmitn to prevent bulling
William Trevor.
He'll have fantastic initials.

Rasta Ferguson
My missus says Dylan.

Willem
Whichever name you choose, try shouting the full name up the stairs - does it 'ring'?
When I was at school the Vaughans and Elliots live's were made hell, and rightly so. I don't know what's wrong with youth of today.

Felix.
Toughen the lad up FFS. If hes a typical Elliot then yes. If hes someone who is popular and well-developed emotionally then no.
IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW THE PARENTS BRING UP THEIR CHILD.
Can you remember a popular kid who was bullied? No, it was the wierd quiet ones who were picked on. Wierd and quiet probably due to their home situation.
FTLOG make it something easy to spell correctly
Rasta Ferguson
Now that is good.
How about, right seeing as how Ferguson is a version of a Scandinavian name, Thorgerson, calling the little bugger Storm, after the bloke what done loads of album covers?

Just checked back in - some good suggesitons there..!
Paul or Pauline, t'is a great name
I actually love use of the word "Wise" as a name, had a cat called Wise, just worked really well. Whether or not it would work as a 'proper' name I dunno.
Mrs Ed is expecting our first born and the MiL said 'you could name him after someone you admire' and her dad is italian so I thought 'a-ha!!!'
apparently Pantani Hornby wasn't an acceptable choice.. bah
JAKE
can't be shortened and just a great name IMO (Yes my son is Jake)
Duncan if it's a boy & Penelope if it's girl ๐
In my opinion i reckon....Fraser.
Or Hugh...
You should not ask here, you should be asking a fine, traditional gentleman like the one featured in James, 18, Chelsea Ann Stamford Bridge, 16 - named after Mr Houghton's favourite football team and their home ground - Joanne, 14, Jack, ten, and Summer, two.
and no, I don't read the Daily Mail!!
ours is either Barrie or Pauline*
*it's quite entertaining when people try to work out if you're being serious or not. Especially when you specify "Barrie with an IE"
"captain danger Furguson"
"doctor danger Furguson"
"Yourin danger Furguson"
"getoffthatcounterandwashthosebloodyhands Furguson"
"velociraptor Furguson"
"professor Furguson"
apparently Pantani Hornby wasn't an acceptable choice.. bah
What about Marc Hornby?
if they baby is small you MUST call him Hercules.
its the law.
we didn't name our boy for his first 3 days; originally he was going to be called Morgan, but he didn't look like a morgan so he got named Benjamin James.
the reasoning .... benjamin because at 9lb 1oz - big Ben; James because his surname is Cook and James COOK 'found' Australia (my second favourite country).
yes, i know his initials will be B.J. but he is a big bast4rd and he will kick your teethin if you take the p1ss ๐
My default diversionary name is Derek. Not Derrick, or Derryck. Derek.
"Because you know where you are with Derek."
Rosco-Osbaldistan Ferguson has a certain ring to it (I used to have a rat called this, without the Ferguson bit, but don't let that put you off).
Prometheus
Thor
Odin

My boy is due in November and I want to call him Logan, but Mrs B isn't having it. Hoping she will come around in the end as I can't think of anything else I like.
