JB's is still going havent been since Xmas eve in 1994 or something
JB's exists in name only. Since moving from the back of Pathfinder it has turned into a venue for tribute acts and has beens.
Back at the old place I saw them all...Roses, Stuffies, Manics, Blur, Neds, Ride, Levs, Senser etc etc
Back at the old place I saw them all...Roses, Stuffies, Manics, Blur, Neds, Ride, Levs, Senser etc etc
Senser, there's a blast from the past!
A proto-Rage Against the Machine, but from South London for the uninitiated. I've got a copy of Stacked Up kicking about at my parents house somewhere.
Will always remember their blistering set at Glastonbury 1994. I was standing right by Katie Puckrick (who? Exactly)...
Reading the same year:

next.........paul wellar at sheffield arena
Last: Alessi's Ark/Smoke Fairies/Fanfarlow/Laura Marling at the Serpentine Sessions on Thursday in Hyde Park, next possibly Heidi Talbot at the Thekla in Bristol on the 5 September, next definite is The Like at the Jerico Tavern Oxford on 10 September and Wolf Parade at the Thekla Bristol on 11 September.

Next: Eels, Gorillaz or Skunk Anansie, depending on what order they're happening and who I persuade to go see each of them.
Last was either Echo & the Bunnymen at Camden Crawl or Van Morrison doing Astral Weeks - I don't really remember. Wish it was someone a bit cooler.
Next is Primal Scream doing Screamadelica in November.
Don't get out to as many gigs as I used to.
Will always remember their blistering set at Glastonbury 1994. I was standing right by Katie Puckrick (who? Exactly)...
I think I was at that one...did they play the NME stage early on? Same day as Chumbawamba, The Sea, Back to the Planet etc?
If that was the day, they played the clearing on the same night...but with a tiny generator....mmmmm acid 8)
Back to the Planet, saw them at Kidderminster Market Tavern, beat that!!!!
Was Glastonbury 1994 the year Cash played, I was hobbling around on crutches and mushrooms!!!
That Senser at Reading was that the year of Fishbone, Lemonheads Dinosaur Jnr etc....won free tickets to that at a Neds gig.
I was there ^ BTTP at Kiddi. Also saw RDF, Chumbas, Citizen Fish, Family Cat etc at Kiddi. Great venue...

Last one was a "lesser known" band called Heavens Basement in a tiny venue. They were awesome - great atmosphere and very loud 😀
Next is Lady Gaga in September 😆
Marc Almond at the Jazz Cafe a couple of weeks back. Thought I'd hate it, but it was a really good night.
Nothing else planned, I think (and hope), it's difficult to get out these days without the kids. We've got tickets still stuck to the fridge for Jack Johnson a few days back and Lady Gaga in May that we never ended up using. Waste of money. 😕
Last was **** Buttons in Bristol
Next actually booked is the Belle and Sebastian ATP in December, but looking at Foals, Beach House, Bonnie Prince Billy before then if I've got cash. I've got no holiday until next July, so no festies this summer for me :cries:
Nickelback September 08 NEC.
Last session was Wired playing at son's wedding two weeks ago. What a great night.
I was going to ride over to Hook Norton tonight for The Hamsters playing outdoors and to check out the local produce in the beer tent.

I think the last one was Tempest Trap in Bournemouth

Funnily enough, I'm wearing my Henry Rollins 'Frequent Flyer Tour 2010' shirt at the moment. Saw him for the third time in Bournemouth in January.
Seeing NMA later in the summer too as I have never seen them before and Green & Grey is one of my favourite songs.

Next, who knows? very broke, couldn't afford Mark Lanagan last night 😥
Broken Social Scene at Manc Academy 2 last Monday - brilliant 2 hr set!
Broken Social Scene at The Corporation, Sheffield this Friday ...I wouldn't normally go and see a band twice on the same tour but the missus missed the first show
Bonnie Prince Billy and The Cairo Gang at Manc cathedral in August
End Of The Road festival in September (I hope)
Broken Social Scene were great at ATP Pavement, I'd never seen them live before, but realise what all the fuss is about now.
Aaaah, Pavement. Best band ever? Certainly top 5. Malkmus is a genius.
I quite fancy ATP this December too. I went last year to the My Bloody Valentine curated weekend and saw 1 or 2 great sets; Sonic Youth, Sereena Maneesh, Joe Mascis and The Fog and the unmissable highlight was Lightning Bolt - twice!
Last was The Fall - still great after all these years.
+1 for Pavement. Gutted I haven't been able to get to see them.
Console myself with thought that next Arcade Fire album isn't far away now...
I really wish I could like Arcade Fire but I just can't 'get' them. Most folks I know who like what I like also like AF, so I can only assume I'm missing something.
Last Cara Dillon
Next Breabach
AFI Manchester.
Waiting for Gillian Welch or Black Crowes.
Last was Clutch @ Koko
Upcoming is Garcia playing Kyuss @ Electric Ballroom
Converge and Kylesa @ Concorde 2
