god I hate being up at this ungodly hour when I was up at 5am and will be up at 5am again in the morning.. As if the hemorrhoids weren't grief enough on their own.. the baby monitor is now on the blink and is chirping at me every minute or so.. farewell sweet sleep.. you were a loyal friend and always a comfort..

so.. hmm.. last gig.. Eden Project.. Where I saw The Freestylers and Krafty Cuts and many other hard funky breakbeat delights..

next gig.. Beautiful Days festival.. featuring James.. the Wailers.. the Levellers.. Dreadzone.. blah blah blah

am I interested at the moment? NO.. Do I care? NO..

JB's exists in name only. Since moving from the back of Pathfinder it has turned into a venue for tribute acts and has beens.

Back at the old place I saw them all...Roses, Stuffies, Manics, Blur, Neds, Ride, Levs, Senser etc etc

Senser, there's a blast from the past!

A proto-Rage Against the Machine, but from South London for the uninitiated. I've got a copy of Stacked Up kicking about at my parents house somewhere.

Will always remember their blistering set at Glastonbury 1994. I was standing right by Katie Puckrick (who? Exactly)...

Reading the same year:

Next: Eels, Gorillaz or Skunk Anansie, depending on what order they're happening and who I persuade to go see each of them.

Marc Almond at the Jazz Cafe a couple of weeks back. Thought I'd hate it, but it was a really good night.

Nothing else planned, I think (and hope), it's difficult to get out these days without the kids. We've got tickets still stuck to the fridge for Jack Johnson a few days back and Lady Gaga in May that we never ended up using. Waste of money. 😕

Funnily enough, I'm wearing my Henry Rollins 'Frequent Flyer Tour 2010' shirt at the moment. Saw him for the third time in Bournemouth in January.

Seeing NMA later in the summer too as I have never seen them before and Green & Grey is one of my favourite songs.

Oh and I've recently turned 30 which I used to think was old, but in STW years it's like being 12!

Aaaah, Pavement. Best band ever? Certainly top 5. Malkmus is a genius.

I quite fancy ATP this December too. I went last year to the My Bloody Valentine curated weekend and saw 1 or 2 great sets; Sonic Youth, Sereena Maneesh, Joe Mascis and The Fog and the unmissable highlight was Lightning Bolt - twice!
