After a few posts here, I've settled on Pappa D's Audio Setup:

A Bose Soundlink II Bluetooth speaker (with the leather case!) - a beautifully crafted lump of gorgeousness; I went to JL to look at/listen to the Sonos 3, but the Bose was just in a different league. They price matched and got it for £250.

After mulling over the pad options, decided to get a smartphone to run spotify premium & he can also get the other benefits or a decent phone. I haven't settled on phone yet, looking for 'as new' SH options at the moment (anyone got one?!). Have a Samsung pad in case phone falls through.

Last question is though; I was looking on google to see if I could get spotify premium any cheaper through 3rd party, and I was swamped with options!

Are they all a scam? does anyone get away with premium without paying £10 a month?

Ta, Rich

EDIT: Legally!

I read a thread on a hifi forum about these cheaper options for Spotify and they are virtually all scams.

£10 a month isn't that much for what Spotify has to offer.

I got Spotify Premium free for 6 months with my Virgin broadband. Bit of a hassle as I already had Premium, so had to downgrade first and then upgrade.
