In 2006 i had an ACL re construction in my right knee and i have had no problems since. However, a week and a half ago, i fell sideways whilst clipped in and banged my knee. It wasn't a big knock and didn't even hurt. However, the day after i had alot of swelling below my knee cap, to the the point where the knee cap was way smaller than the swelling itself. Now a week and a half on, i still have some fluid in my knee and a serious amount of bruising around my knee and down my shin. I rode at the weekend, my knee doesnt hurt, so what is going on? Are knees that have had an ACL reconstruction more prone to swelling and bruising. Its just that the swelling and bruising seems way over the top for the knock it had.
