We will be in touch
The missus is hell bent on getting another cat. I've said ok providing it's a kitten and I can name it. It will be a girl and the other cat we have is called Merlin, ideas please as apprently "Mike" isn't good enough???
Chairman?
Manolo (as in Blahnik - you know, "kitten heels".)
Dave?
SuBo
Seefor.
I wanted to call our kittens after our next door neighbours.... imagine the fun calling them in at night... PHIL... TINA...
Morgan or Morgaine (following the Arthurian theme)?
Merlin and Wiggle? (Chain Reaction Cycles is a bit of a mouthful!)
Seeing as the 1st cat is called Merlin, how about keeping with the Arthurian tradition and calling the new kitten 'Nimue'?
Nimue was Merlin's lover/priestess in the older versions of the tale.
Also there is Morgan/Morgana...
My 2 are called Frankie & Cisco, as I used to Live in San Francisco
roper?
Minx?
I should point out that Merlin (the cat) is in fact a girl, I know it's weird for me to. Liking Dave so far and the neighbours idea, loving it.
Don't let kids name your cats folks - we have pussy and socks...
Just remember you'll have to shout the name late at night out the back or teach them to come to whistle.
Morgana trapped Merlin in Excalibur (drifts of thinking of helen mirren in her youth).

Oh come on. It's got to be "Litespeed" 🙂
One of my pets is called Prinzses Fá Nay Nay.
Feel free in using that if you want. 🙂

Kentucky Fried 👿
One of my cats is called Minx - the Other is Hex!
Lol
Our kids named one of ours Puddle, which was very nearly called poo-poo 😯
mates cat is/was called 'captain jazzy pants'.
How about Michael.

Have friends who named their kittens (Cat) Stevens and (Cat) Deeley
One of my customers has a cat called 'Grim Reaper'
Looking at this cute little feline with a pink collar it might seem a bit unlikely... till you see the hundreds of bird* corpses that have been judged. I mean, last week I saw GR with a ****ing oystercatcher in its mouth- how did it catch that?
* dont worry folks, I'm sure they were guilty birds that deserved to die.
Raoul ...
You little *******!!!!!!
What about the name Bastet- named after the ancient Egyptian fertility/ cat goddess.... With the back door open and you're shouting its name, passers-by will thing your swearing like a loon,
Thats much better than 'fluffy'

My cat was called Dave - good choice!
I know somebody who called a cat Fellatio. Honest I didn't make that up.
My next cat will be called Elvis or Elvira. My current cat is called Ramona (got her just when Joey Ramone died) and her brother was Carlos (after Carlos Spencer my favorite All Black).
Cats should be named after somebody.
We've got 3 cats, all girls, all called Dave, after Papa Lazarous insistence on the name of his many wives.
...not that any cat, ever in the history of cat, has given a shit what it was called...
Seefor.
Surely it would be Kayfour?
A friend had a cat called Steve.
My first cat was called Zero.
We now have Mushroom and Spook.
Calling the latter in can be a bit embarrassing when our black African neighbour is out and about.
Call it myface, that way when you call them both in at night can go something along the lines of...
"Myface, Merlin. Come on Myface Merlin."
Wildlife murdering little *&@%$£?
Reaper! Fang! Sabre! Astorath!
Get medieval on it's poor kitty ass! (Not literally obviously).

My previous cat names have been;
Tiger- not very original, we were kids
Lucky- see above
Pancake- got him on shrove tuesday
Dick Walker- named after a dead fisherman 😯

Stick with Dave, then when the smart-arse vetinary nurse says
"You do know it's a girl?"
you can say
" You do know it's a cat, with no concept of gender or language..."
A friend's daughter recently named their new arrival "Thursday" for obvious reasons
We had one called Friday, probably for similar reasons.
Have also had:
Oliver-Doris (girl)
Minstral (as in black and white minstral)
Bob (also girl)
Marc (as in Mk11, also black and white)
Currently have Gordon.
Woman in our village has one called HelloCat because that what she says whenever she sees it. GF's neighbour's have one called Moo, black and white again.
Probably heard it before, but I think Sindrum is a good name. When he/she jumps up at people you get to shout 'Down Sindrum' very loudly.
A friend has a cat called "Macy".
It's grey 😉
Mine were called - Ripley (was called ralph but just couldnt face owning a cat called ralph) and Kato because it always attacking me. Both are perfectly reasonable names for cat but flee bag, toad and pudding were reasonable substitutes depending circumstance. Mate had one called catapult.
I've now grown out of cat ownership.
Norman. Always a good, solid name for a pet I think.
Galore - as in the Bond character.
Orca - if it's a black and white one.
Lunch - if you're living anywhere near foxes.
Pancake - if you're living near a road.
Lazy but called ours KitKat. Useful for screaming at it because it answers to a yell of Cat.
Cooking Fat.
it's a spoonerism if you were wondering.
Last cats were called Ratty, Girlsy and Jonny Caruthers.
Friend had a cat that was tiny so was called Junior, turned out to be the ultimate killing machine. One morning she woke up to utter mayhem in her house, she thought she was being burgled. Junior was fighting a squirrel he had caught. The battle lasted about 10 minutes and the squirrel was dispatched.
My cat is called Max, but his full name is Maxellton J. Cat the Third. He's not the third he just thinks it makes him sound important. Oh, and the 'J' is short for Judas.
But we only use his full name when he's been naughty .... so quite often what with him being a cat and having no regard of what we think, say or do. 🙂

Reminds me of a rabbit we had called Toby, full name was Mr Tobias P Whiskers.
My cats are Maggie and Maxwell.
Ragnarok, Voltar or Poseidon
Thanks for all your suggestions people, much appreciated. I'm still liking Dave, nice and easy to get along with. However my niece has won and she wants us to call her Maggie after her snowman which is no longer with us. RIP.
Maggie is quite appropriate as it'll steal all your milk.
Couldn't have anything of that name in the house though, and definitely couldn't stand at the back door and shout it.
What would the neighbours think?
Mandhu?
I won't be shouting it out!!!! If the girlfriend wants it she can shout for it!
