Great link, now on favourites, can`t believe the size of Everest base camp, it makes Coniston Hall camp site look quiet in the middle of summer!!!

All that rubbish and poo and bog paper is going to emerge from the foot of the glacier some time in the future!

If you are looking at the cluster of blue buildings further down the glacier, thats Gorak Shep, the last teahouses where you can stay or camp if you are trekking up to the base camp.

Amazing picture, it actually give you an idea of the scale of the place.

Where is the base camp on that pic? I can see the small place down to the right with Blur roofs?

I'd never seen a pic before in which the yellow band is so clear. Brilliant pic.

Pretty cool that you can see the higher camps and people making there way through the ice fall and at various places on the way up.

it looks so sweet and calm in the sun, not at all like the death and destruction described in 'Into Thin Air' or 'The Climb'. Both brilliant reads.

Stupid farkin [s]eyePad[/s] website

It won't work on Android, either; no Flash
Or my Mac Mini; no Flash.
Possibly in Chrome, though. I won't use that shitty application as an instal, too many proven exploits against Adobe products for me to trust them, and that includes Reader, too.
There's plenty of alternatives out there for the designer to use, who isn't too bloody lazy to look for them.

..There goes a substantial part of my evening! (its turned into a 'where's wally' picture, I haven't found anyone climbing yet).
I like the way some of the tents are in neat rows and others look like the climbers turned up, pitched anywhere and went looking for the pub ๐Ÿ™‚
Great link xcgb. cheers

Edit: found them!
