We will be in touch
Hi
given the mouldy, damp wooden mess at the end of the garden, my general concept that exterior wood isn't a good plan, and the costco shed sale I'm thinking of a Keter plasic shed - anybody used one etc and what did you think
Thanks
We have one, 6x6. Must be about 10yrs old, still as good as new. Easy to put up, and take down, we moved ours when we moved house. Zero maintenance, although it did get a jet wash when moved as back was a little green where it had been up against the fence. Seems a lot drier than a basic wood shed. No damp or condensation issues, which I was happily surprised about.
The down side is it's not at all secure and if you lean heavy stuff against the sides they will bow, especially in the sun. Not as robust as a wooden shed.
We've got a store, waterproof, maintenance free, you could probably cut it open with decent scissors.
We have a small one for the garden equipment. As you build them they don't seem that strong but once assembled they are secure. Everything in there has remained rust free and the various plant feeds are still dry. Maintenance free and handy skylight strip make them ideal. All that said I wouldn't keep anything of real value in one.
I know someone whose built theirs around a welded steel frame with a (very) heavy duty wire mesh - should hopefully add a bit of security but I still wouldn't leave the bikes he does in it!
