in HD.... on a massive TV with an awesome hifi system hooked up......lights off....beer in hand

hoooolly hell 😯 ........... I've watched hundreds of films over the years now and every time I try and decide what the most aesthetically beautiful film ever produced is, I always come back to this.

In awe.... the music...the shots that wouldn't look out of place in an Attenborough series.....the sad/ponderous theme......why have I never tried to catch a rerun in a cinema?

The Thin Red Line is a great film.

I've watched hundreds of films over the years now and every time I try and decide what the most aesthetically beautiful film ever produced is, I always come back to this.

Just for visuals I would have to say Baraka or Ran. Or maybe something by Yang Zhimou.
