[Closed] Just seen one of these guys in the garden

Whilst trimming back the (rosemary) bush ..... .fnar, fnar ..... I spotted a couple of these guys:

Its a Chrysolina americana or Rosemary leaf beetle

The colours where incredible - real metallic shine - looked like a tiny hot rod 8)

Never seen one before.

Love nature

I should add - not my pics - but are markedly better than the photos i took ๐Ÿ˜†

they are very pretty

Not good for lavender or rosemary though!

Had this visitor in my garden a couple of weekends ago. We get them every year, but he seems to be about a month earlier than normal...

I'd never noticed them until last year. Lots on our lavender. As above, not good for them. Don't run fast so easy to catch and make for a satisfying squish........

You need to report him to these people. They may bring him a lady beetle...

Already reported him, I log them on there most years. Never heard anything back though.
