Just back from a week long landscape painting class with some Aristos at Kinrara just south of Aviemore.

We visited the Uath Lochans at the foot of Glen Feshie. A beautiful spot that was used for the 'barbeque scene' in The Queen. The Lochans are as dark as a quadruple espresso. You can't tell if the water is an inch or 6 feet deep.

At the end of the day while packing up, one the students, the elderly but extremely game, former wife of the Secretary of State for Scotland, stumbled over a hidden root and fell in. Luckily someone was a few feet away and lept in to save her. The water was about 5 feet deep. Nostril level for those with their toes just touching the bottom. We got them out and swiftly back to the side of a toasty Aga with a hot toddy.

My risk assesment only really considered the consequences of adding too much mint or too few strawberries to the Pimms

My brother and I had come back from the first Enduro6, whenever that was, to find our sister in a neck brace. She had twisted standing up from the sofa and had to go to A&E......

Extreme sports, pah. Painting and watching tv is where the dangermen live.

My mum ended up in A&E after plumping a cushion, she tore a tendon. The nurse thought it was dislocated and tried to pull it back into joint. Beware of the sofa!

one of my brothers kids wound up in the A & E from the A & E.
the kid was about 6 at the time and burnt his hand or something but it was bad enuf that his mum and dad ran him off to emergency.

He got treated and while waiting for mum and dad to talk to the doc he fell off the climbing gym the hospital had provided (talk about health and safety ) and broke his arm.

what a clutz ( we have to be related )
